Jenna Walther, Volunteer Coordinator
Jenna joined the Gulf Coast Humane Society team in September 2015 as an adoption specialist. She then became the Volunteer Coordinator in February 2016.
Originally from Arlington Heights, Illinois Jenna grew up in Sussex, Wisconsin. She attended the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh where she received her Bachelors of Science in Human Services Leadership. She interned at the Oshkosh Area Humane Society as the Volunteer Coordinator Assistant. After her experience in Oshkosh she knew she absolutely wanted to work with animals helping them to find their furever families.
Jenna decided the snow wasn't for her and packed up and moved to seek a career in Florida. She had been coming down to visit her grandparents and other family members for the last 15 years.
Jenna is pictured here with her dog Blue. As a transfer to GCHS, Blue was her foster and too young to be in the shelter. He was being bottle fed until he was strong enough to eat on his own. She had him home for about two hours before she knew she just had to adopt him and became like many before her a Foster Failure.
She is thoroughly enjoying her new position as the volunteer coordinator and is extremely happy to be part of such a great team at the shelter!
