The Gulf Coast Humane Society is proud and excited to partner with professional photographer, Kinfay Moroti, who will be capturing a collection of shelter moments not many have the opportunity to see.
This year, GCHS is building momentum to show the surrounding communities it is more than just a shelter. Ever since 1947, GCHS has been a leading non-profit, no-kill shelter in SW Florida and it has thrived because of the community and generous donations - albeit monetary, donated items or volunteerism. Through this community support, GCHS has always supported the community with many of its initiatives, which are going to be featured through the lens of Morati. We hope these captured moments shed more light and brings into better focus the importance of being a community supporter is to GCHS. We want to share our love of these animals with the community and through these images, we hope our initiatives and programs bring a stronger understanding that GCHS is more than just a shelter - it is a bearer of positive animal welfare which benefits both our furry friends and people alike! |

Spay/Neuter saves 1,000's of livesThis past February, the GCHS Spay and Neuter Surgical Center surpassed 25,000 surgeries since August of 2015. The S/N Clinic is not limited to spay/neuter surgeries on the shelter animals and public animals, but also travels throughout the SW Florida region to pickup and deliver peoples' pets to help the pet overpopulation challenge.
The following Spay and Neuter galleries highlight these transports, as well as the surgery process GCHS follows each day. |
