Mobile Pantries have been a a huge help for families in need
When the Covid-19 crisis hit, GCHS sprung into action in conjunction with Community Cooperative's Mobile Food Pantries by offering dog and cat food to those furever families who needed help feeding their pets.
Since the beginning of April, GCHS has attended 24 Mobile Food Pantries throughout Lee County and has handed out approximately seven tons of pet food!! All this was due to the donations made by the community, so it was YOU who made an impact in families' lives through the Pet Food 4 Furever Families program!
There still is a need for these donations, since GCHS is still attending the Mobile Food Pantries at least 2-4 times a month now. To make a donation, you can drop off at the GCHS campus or order through Amazon, Chewy or any other delivery service. GCHS' address is: 2010 Arcadia Street, Fort Myers, Fla. 33916.
Every donation you make, will certainly end up in the hands of who will need it!!

GCHS IS OPEN FOR ADOPTIONS...WITH RESTRICTIONS!
(May 11, 2020) The Adoption Center is now open to the public and appointments are no longer necessary to meet a shelter animal. But due to Covid-19 restrictions, there will only be 10 customers allowed into the GCHS facility/kennels at a time.
Adoptions will still be held on a first come, first serve basis.
These limitations will result in waiting times for customers, so please be patient. Due to these limitations, we ask for people who are serious about adopting or have a certain one or two shelter animals in mind to visit the shelter at this time.
GCHS is following all CDC and State recommendations during this Covid-19 crisis. We will enforce all social distancing requirements and have tents set up outside during waiting times.
GCHS' Adoption hours for Monday are from 12-7 p.m. and Tuesday-Wednesday 12-5 p.m. and regular hours for the rest of the week.
